Last week was a very rough week at the our house!! Zoey woke up on Sunday morning complaining that her tummy hurt and she was VERY VERY tired. I tried to let her go as long as I could until she couldn't stop peeing. I knew that she had a UTI and we needed to get her an antibiotic and there was NO way that would could wait until Monday. So off to the ER we went. We were there for about a hour and they gave us some Bactrim and on our way we went. We stopped at CVS, got the medicine and headed home to revive beanie. Monday came and she was back to herself, running around and playing. She spent the day at her Onnie's and drank lots of chocolate milk and ate fruit snacks. She really wanted to go to Gymnastics's that evening and she was not into it at all. She just sat there and watched all of the other kids play. She fell asleep on the way home and she never woke up(very unusual for Zoey.) Tuesday came and she did nothing but cry the moment her feet touched the ground. By 11 she was SCREAMING that her side hurt, was running a high fever and would not eat or drink anything. We went to the doc at 3 and she did everything the doctor asked of her so we were sent home. As soon as we made it back to the car she was screaming..... AGAIN!! What do you do?? I was at a lost for answers, she is my kid and I knew there was something wrong-- I just had that gut feeling. Despite John's wishes I just took her home in hopes that she was just preforming for mommy. By the time we got home she had a 104 fever and looked horrible!! At this point she wouldn't do anything but lay there. We took her over to the neighbor who is a nurse to get a second OK maybe third opinion. She did look at her longer than 30 seconds and told us to have her seen ASAP. So off we went, back to Hendricks.. "Here come the crazy people again with their screaming kid" but this time we were reassured that she was VERY SICK and needed to be admitted in the Peds Unit until she was better. WOW, it was one heck of a Tuesday. She was in the hospital until late Thursday afternoon-- what a trooper she was with her IV and all her medicine. She was so excited for everyone to come see her and that they delivered her food!! I'm very happy to say that she is doing much much better now and I thank John for not giving up and making me take her-- it could have gotten really bad!!
