She Was a SICK little girl

Last week was a very rough week at the our house!! Zoey woke up on Sunday morning complaining that her tummy hurt and she was VERY VERY tired. I tried to let her go as long as I could until she couldn't stop peeing. I knew that she had a UTI and we needed to get her an antibiotic and there was NO way that would could wait until Monday. So off to the ER we went. We were there for about a hour and they gave us some Bactrim and on our way we went. We stopped at CVS, got the medicine and headed home to revive beanie. Monday came and she was back to herself, running around and playing. She spent the day at her Onnie's and drank lots of chocolate milk and ate fruit snacks. She really wanted to go to Gymnastics's that evening and she was not into it at all. She just sat there and watched all of the other kids play. She fell asleep on the way home and she never woke up(very unusual for Zoey.) Tuesday came and she did nothing but cry the moment her feet touched the ground. By 11 she was SCREAMING that her side hurt, was running a high fever and would not eat or drink anything. We went to the doc at 3 and she did everything the doctor asked of her so we were sent home. As soon as we made it back to the car she was screaming..... AGAIN!! What do you do?? I was at a lost for answers, she is my kid and I knew there was something wrong-- I just had that gut feeling. Despite John's wishes I just took her home in hopes that she was just preforming for mommy. By the time we got home she had a 104 fever and looked horrible!! At this point she wouldn't do anything but lay there. We took her over to the neighbor who is a nurse to get a second OK maybe third opinion. She did look at her longer than 30 seconds and told us to have her seen ASAP. So off we went, back to Hendricks.. "Here come the crazy people again with their screaming kid" but this time we were reassured that she was VERY SICK and needed to be admitted in the Peds Unit until she was better. WOW, it was one heck of a Tuesday. She was in the hospital until late Thursday afternoon-- what a trooper she was with her IV and all her medicine. She was so excited for everyone to come see her and that they delivered her food!! I'm very happy to say that she is doing much much better now and I thank John for not giving up and making me take her-- it could have gotten really bad!!

She was so excited for Lainey to come spend the day with her and in her bed!! Look at those smiles!!

Little Gymnast in the Making

Natalie and Zoey have been taking Gymnastics for about 13 weeks now. Zoey is in the 4's- 5's class and Natalie is in the 6's-7's class. When John and I signed them up for this we told ourselves that they would stay in it as long as they were enjoying it and not pulling them out because it was too much money or to long of a drive!! We would make it work no matter what!! Gymnastics is nothing but an Outstanding sensory seeking activity for our little Zoey. She really seems to enjoy it and can finally do a flip over the bar. Natalie has really been growing in her gymnastics skills and has mastered her cartwheel. I had signed them up for the summer session with their little friends that they have made there when we got a letter in the mail the next day stating that Natalie has been invited to join in the "In House" competition/rec team!! How exciting for a 6 year old!! John and I talked about it before we even mentioned it to her and wanted to talk to her teacher since it is definitely a commitment and we want her to stick with it if she enjoys it. Her teacher told us that Natalie is a very very smart little girl that has outstanding listening and applying abilities. That makes one proud Mommy and Daddy!! So with that said and talking to Natalie she is going to start this in June and we will spending a lot of time at the Gym!!

WAY TO GO NATALIE--KEEP IT UP!!!

A weekend with the Bogue's

I'm definitely a few weeks behind on some of our updates but we are a busy little family!! A couple of weekends ago it was the true definition of a spring weekend with sun, rain, and thunderstorms all at once. Our good friends; John, Tara, and Madelynn, came over on Saturday evening and we had Fazolis and played some rockband!! We cant forget the few hours that John and my John spent trying to get the van window up after Zoey broke it!! We had already planned on meeting up for breakfast on Sunday morning so we got up bright and early Sunday and met them at Denny's for a nice, relaxing breakfast since the kiddos were SO good!! We were running out of ideas since it was raining and had been raining for a few days. So whats better on a rainy afternoon but some MONSTER GOLF!!! We had an absolute BLAST and I will have to say that NO ONE got a hole in one! We need to brush up on our putt putt skills!! It was a GREAT way to spend a rainy weekend and hopefully soon we can have the cookout and fire that we always plan!

They look like Pro's

They were great at Teamwork

Our Pretty Kinsey

Of course Saturday Mornings are jammed pack with soccer but we had to squeeze in a trip to see Kinsey before she went off for her last prom since shes graduating this year( so sad that she grew up so fast)!! The girls just adore their Kinsey and were so excited to see her all dressed up!

Kinsey and all "her" girls!! Doesn't she look so pretty with all those dirty rug rats??

She couldn't hold the girls because they were too muddy and that would make a sad prom girl if she got mud on her dress!!

Kinsey all dressed up!!

It was a quick trip at Kinsey's since we had a soccer game at 1. I was hoping to get some pictures with her and Darin. A few snap shots and back to soccer we went!!

(Kinsey you looked ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!)

NO BOYS ALLOWED!!!!

NO BOYS ALLOWED is all I heard for a week!! I asked my friend Jenni about a week ago if Hannah and Leah would be able to spend the night so we could have a popcorn fight and slumber party and she decided that she would come too (That was much appreciated from me). We decided that we would let Mike take the boys with him and we would just have GIRLS ONLY! How much fun was this going to be( I think that I was just as excited if not more than the girls)! So Friday night came and of course we still had to get things. When Jenni got off of work we headed to Wendy's and Walmart to pick up some last minute things for our party!! Jenni headed home to wait for Mike and I went home to make some Brownies for Brownie Sundae's as we anxiously waited for Jenni and the girls! And our night finally got started when they got there. We started by mixing together some homemade ice cream--YUM!!!!

Plenty of Helpers

Natalie mixing together the ice cream before Jenni didn't know how to get the mixers off and sprayed it EVERYWHERE!!!!

After we made our ice cream we had to let it mix for awhile so we made some Candy Jewelry that Zoey had gotten for her birthday and started the much anticipated Popcorn fight but not before we made our Jiffy Pop!! We opted to make Jiffy Pop on the stove since Jenni and I figured we would spend the entire evening trying to make a fire in the fire pit!! We didn't get to eat much of the popcorn that's for sure!!

And the Popcorn Fight has started!!

Hannah better get up before Jenni and I get her!!

LOOK AT THAT MESS ( I know this is blury but I just had to let you all see what kind of mess we had)

After throwing popcorn, making popcorn (snow) angels, and eating it up off the floor we started a pillow fight!! They girls were having so much fun they couldn't stop!!

Leah's smile tells it all

"AHHHH..... I'm going to get you"

While at the store I let the girls pick out a "special" drink that we would not normally buy since we waste more than what we drink!! So this is what they picked, CRUSH in Bottles!

Future Partier's

Ava- being just like the big girls!!
The girls finally went upstairs around 1 a.m. while Jenni and I sat downstairs and talked. They were so exhausted that they didn't even wake up during the thunderstorm that came rolling through and were up and ready to play soccer the next morning. If I had to put money on this I think that the girls had a BLAST. I would randomly hear Leah say " Our girls night is so much fun." And they kept asking each other "Wonder what the boys are doing??" We decided on the next Girls Only Slumber Party that we will have to crash the boys party since we thought Mike would have been over to bug us!! What awesome Mommies these little girls have and what a GREAT night it was.
